Welcome to Holly Spring Primary School
I am incredibly proud to be the Headteacher of Holly Spring Primary School. Having been a member of the senior leadership team at Holly Spring for a number of years, I know very well what a truly inclusive, nurturing and inspiring community Holly Spring is – a school where every child is encouraged to grow in greatness and achieve their very best. Visitors to our school immediately see why we were awarded ‘School of the Year’ at the Pride of Bracknell awards in 2025.
We are a three-form entry community school and serve the local area of Bullbrook and beyond. We have places for 630 children, as well as a nursery with up to 39 morning and 39 afternoon spaces. The school was built in 1960 and boasts bright and spacious indoor areas as well as a large playing field, forest learning area, sensory garden and two playgrounds. In addition, our Early Years Foundation Stage has an extensive, well-equipped outside learning area.
At the heart of our school is a deep commitment to our Holly Spring I.M.A.G.I.N.E. values, which include accepting everyone for who they are, ensuring that every child feels valued, respected and celebrated. We believe in creating an environment where all children – regardless of background or ability – are motivated to achieve, supported to develop independence, and are inspired to ignite a love for learning.
We are proud of our beautiful forest learning environment, where children have access to rich, natural outdoor spaces that support curiosity, wellbeing and adventure. Our OPAL play at lunchtime offers high-quality, inclusive opportunities for play that nurture creativity, social development and joy.
Everything we do has purpose – from our exciting curriculum and vibrant ‘Sing Up’ music sessions, to our weekly celebration assemblies, where we recognise children who embody our I.M.A.G.I.N.E. values and adhere to our school rules of ‘Ready, Respectful and Safe’. Positive behaviour is reinforced at every opportunity, and visitors often comment on the calm, focused learning and the respectful, happy atmosphere that fills our classrooms and playgrounds.
Through our inclusive ethos, high expectations, and staff dedicated to research informed practice and continuing professional development, we are growing greatness – developing confident, independent learners who are prepared for the future and who enjoy their time at school. The partnership with parents is crucial in order to enhance each child’s learning.
We welcome visits to our School. Please contact us if you have any questions.
