Y3 Shang Dynasty workshop - Jan 2026
Year 3 thoroughly enjoyed their Shang Dynasty workshop on Wednesday as part of this half term's history unit. The children had the opportunity to explore:
- the important people of the Shang Dynasty,
- the role of Fu Hao,
- what life was like,
- the role religion played in society,
- the dramatic downfall of the dynasty.
Bracknell Forest Kurling Event - Jan 2026
Four of our children took part in the sport of New Age Kurling. They played really well and were a credit to the school. Each received a medal for their effort.
Well done!
Year 2 Brooklands Visit - Oct 2025
The children had a fantastic opportunity to learn more about the history of transport and how it has changed over time to complement our Travel and Transport unit in History. Our visit focused mainly on the history of aviation with a brief visit to the Bus Museum too.
Reception - Pumpkin Patch - 2025
Parents and children decorated their own pumpkin to help us create a festive pumpkin patch!
Y3 Prehistoric Workshop - 2025
Year 3 had a very exciting day travelling back in time to the Stone Age to enhance their learning of their history topic. We were joined by an expert from the Stone Age, who shared great knowledge of this time and artifacts from this era. We were able to hold a range of artifacts, including some real stone and bronze tools which were up to 5,000 years old! Our knowledge was tested through a fun, interactive quiz and we worked in teams to play a game that came from the Stone Age, too! To finish our day, we pretended to hunt for a woolly mammoth, before creating a timeline of Pre-Historic Britain and hearing some stories from the past. It was such a great day, and we can't wait to use our experience to motivate our learning further.
Sing Up Assemblies - December 2025
Recordings of our end of half term ‘Sing Up’ assemblies. It is always such a pleasure to hear the children singing together and sharing the songs they have been learning - hopefully, you have had the joy of hearing them at home too!
