Mumsnet is a well known parenting site with famous webchats with top celebrities and politicians and useful articles on almost any parenting topic you can think of.
Free Online Guides:
You can get free access to 4 online parenting guides if you live in the Frimley area. This covers: Ascot, Bracknell, Farnham, Maidenhead, North East Hampshire, Slough, Windsor, Surrey and South Bucks.
The guides include top tips from childcare, education and NHS health experts.
The guides are:
- understanding your pregnancy, labour and birth
- understanding your baby
- understanding your child 0 to 19 years old
- understanding your teenager’s brain
The online guides contain advice relevant to expectant parents, parents, grandparents and carers of children of all ages including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). The guides are also available in different languages.

The NSPCC has produced a useful guide to help you decide if your child is ready to stay home or go out alone. The NSPCC appreciates every family is different. The guide includes checklists of scenarios to consider, questions to think about as well as rules to discuss and agree with your child. The guide can be found using the link below:
